Looking towards the future, but preserving the past...
Well, we made it to 2022! Can you believe it’s almost February?
I wanted to take the time to talk about the future of Clavo Cellars, and how I want to continue to share my passion for great wine, sustainable farming, and of course great food, friends, music, and memories. After much reflecting on the first 14 years I can honestly and wholeheartedly say that there is nothing I love doing more than sharing this journey with you. Clavo, to me, isn’t just a brand, it’s a way of life. And so when I started to plan for the next 14 years it became apparent that there is so much more to share about Clavo than just the wines themselves. My goal for 2022 and beyond is to create experiences and memories that are based around the wine itself and I can’t wait to share them with you!
In the coming days I’ll start define a little more in detail about what that all means, but I will some of the exciting things to come including these listed below!
Logo/ Label Redesign: We will be doing brand redesign of our labels to reflect more of what I feel the label should look like moving forward. A clean, fresh look, that lets the wines speak for themselves.
Tasting Room Hours/ Experience: Look out for more opportunities to visit the tasting room on Main Street starting with our newly renamed “Clavo Building” ribbon cutting open house on February 17th (I will send out an event invite). In addition, we will be hosting live music, and maybe even a “vinyl night” that pairs with wines and foods!
Hosted “immersive experience” weekends: Exclusive “one of a kind” experiences designed to give you a weekend of learning, tasting, pairing, farming, and winemaking, all hosted by me. I will be taking you to some of the vineyards I farm whose grapes produce some of our area’s most sought after wines, sharing my wines, knowledge of farming and sustainability, and taking you to some of best restaurants in Paso Wine Country. These weekend experiences will leave you wanting to live here, if you don’t already. The first experience of its kind and I can’t wait to launch this- the first being in March! Podcasts: I’ve launched my first Podcast called “Vinyl and Vines” where me and my friend Mike talk music, wine, life, and listen to great vinyl! It’s truly something that I love doing and I get to share a lot of great vinyl and wine! It’s available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts among other platforms! The other podcast that I’m excited to launch is centered around wine/ farming/ winemaking education. These will be short episodes designed to give the listener quick tidbits of knowledge. I love talking about my passions and sharing my knowledge with others!
Website/ Communicating Platform? Wine Ordering: We have launched a new website that is designed to make it easier for you to order wine, communicate with us, and see what we have going on! Take a look HERE. In addition- you will be able to request tasting appointments, and RSVP to events via text message!
With all this being said, you can tell that I am really excited about the coming months and the rest of 2022! Above all else, I can’t wait to share some new wines with you this year!
